I’m not a huge ham person, but this recipe changed my mind. The sweetness of the honey brown sugar glaze pairs perfectly with the salty, smokey flavor of the ham. And it’s so easy to make in the air fryer – no heating up the kitchen needed! Plus, cleanup is a breeze.

Ham is a great holiday meal because it is easy to cook and can feed a large crowd. This air fryer ham recipe will ensure that your ham is juicy and full of flavor. It is also an easy recipe to follow, so you can focus on enjoying your holiday gathering.

This recipe is for a traditional ham that has been cooked in the air fryer. I am making the air fryer ham in my Power XL 5.3 Quart Air Fryer. I needed to ensure that I had a small ham that would fit in the air fryer basket. I use a two-and-a-half-pound spiral ham for this air fryer ham recipe. If the ham is too large and comes into direct contact with the top heating element of your air fryer, you have to trim the bottom of the ham

Brush with some of the glazes over the top and around the sides of the ham. Cover the foil tightly.

Preheat the air fryer to 300°F. Place the ham into the air fryer and cook for 15 minutes at 300°F

After 15 minutes, carefully remove the air fryer basket and brush more glazes onto the ham. Cover the foil and cook for another 15 minutes at 300°F.

After that, remove the air fryer basket, and brush more glazes onto the ham. Place the air fryer basket back, and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes at 380°F.

TIPS FOR A TASTY AND JUICY AIR FRYER HAM

  • If your ham is too large to fit in the air fryer basket, you will need to trim it.
  • Be sure to check the ham frequently while it is cooking, as the cooking time may vary depending on the size of the ham. A larger ham will be closer to the heating element of the air fryer, hence it may brown faster at the top. Starting with a lower temperature will help to prevent browning too quickly.

FAQ:

WHY DO I NEED TO LET MY HAM SIT AT ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE COOKING?

It is important to let your ham sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour before cooking it in the air fryer. This will help to ensure that your ham cooks evenly.

HOW CAN I STORE THE LEFTOVER HAM?

The best way to store leftover ham is in the refrigerator. Ham will last for 3-4 days in the fridge. If you want to keep it longer, you can freeze it for up to 6 months.

To reheat frozen ham, thaw it in the fridge overnight and then heat it in the air fryer at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
