Can You Air Fryer Cookies?

This is the question that I have been asked many times. If you have not baked dessert with an air fryer, you should try this Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe. With the air fryer, the possibilities are endless! You can whip up air fryer cakes, muffins, and even cinnamons rolls with the air fryer. It is not just only for savory food.

Can You Put Parchment Paper or Foil in the Air Fryer?

You can use parchment paper or foil for these cookies, but I recommend air fryer parchment paper. The parchment paper circulates the heat better than the foil. The cookie tends to brown faster at the bottom with the foil.

How Do You Make Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies?

Basically, making chocolate chip cookies with an air fryer is not much different than how you would bake them in the oven.

First, let’s prepare the dough. In a large bowl, add the and beat with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for about 30 seconds. Next, add the brown sugar, white sugar, baking soda, and salt. Beat the mixture for 2 minutes on medium speed. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, beat until they combined. Add flour, beating in as much as you can. Stir in any remaining flour and chocolate chips.

Next, cut a piece of parchment paper into the shape of the air fryer basket. Scoop the cookie dough using a measuring spoon on to the parchment paper. Place the dough about an inch apart. Slowly, transfer the parchment with the dough into the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if required.

Cook at 300°F for 8 minutes or until golden brown and set. Remove the parchment to a wire rack to cool. Repeat with the remaining cookie dough.

These cookies are an easy and tasty snack that does not require heating up your kitchen.
