Green beans are a delicious and healthy side dish that can be cooked in a variety of ways. To make green beans in the air fryer, I am using the COSORI Air Fryer, 5 QT that can cook for my family of 4. For 1 to 2 people, you may use the Dash Tasti-Crisp™ 2.6 QT Digital Air Fryer.
The ingredients needed for this recipe are very simple.
- Fresh green beans: washed and trimmed
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
How to Make Air Fryer Green Beans
The first thing you’ll need to do is prepare your green beans. You can buy them fresh or frozen; it doesn’t make much of a difference. If you’re using fresh, wash and cut off the ends. Pile all of your green beans onto a paper towel, and pat them down to dry.
Add just a tiny bit of oil or cooking spray to the air fryer basket so your green beans don’t stick once they’re done cooking. Add all of your green beans and give them a little shake so they’ll settle into a single layer.
Set the timer for 10 minutes, and let’em cook at 375°F. Shake the basket halfway through cooking. After 8 minutes, check your green beans to make sure they aren’t burning. Let them cook till the time is up. If the green beans are still hard, you may cook for another 2 minutes.
And there you have it. You can eat them plain…or with a little salt and pepper for added flavor. You may also add some parmesan cheese or garlic powder to add some flavor. But trust me- these air fryer green beans don’t need anything else to make them taste great.

Yes, you can cook frozen green beans in the air fryer! Just add a few minutes to the cooking time.
HOW LONG DO YOU COOK GREEN BEANS IN THE AIR FRYER?
For fresh green beans, cook for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees F. For frozen green beans, cook the green beans for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees F.
How DO I store the air fryer green beans?
You can store air fryer green beans in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in the air fryer or in the microwave before serving.
