If you’re looking for a healthier alternative to your favorite potato chips snack, look no further than the air fryer! With this appliance, you can make air fryer potato chips with just a fraction of the oil used in traditional frying methods. Best of all, they taste just as good as the real thing. So gather up some potatoes and give this easy recipe a try.
How to Make Air Fryer Potato Chips
First, preheat the air fryer to 360°F. Then, use a mandoline or vegetable peeler to cut potatoes very thin. Put them in a bowl and cover them with ice water for 15 minutes.
Drain and put them back in the bowl with more ice water for another 15 minutes.
Drain the potatoes. Pat them dry in a towel. Spray them with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt. Put the sliced potatoes into the air fryer basket.
Cook the potatoes, for 15-18 minutes, turning every 5 minutes until crisp and golden brown.
If your air fryer potato chips are still soggy after cooking, you need to cook them some more. The temperature of the air fryer varies, so cooking times will change as well. That is why our recipes have a wide range of time for cooking the food. You may need to cook your chips a little longer than suggested in the recipe.
