In a large bowl, add the and beat with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for about 30 seconds.
Add the brown sugar, white sugar, baking soda, and salt. Beat the mixture for 2 minutes on medium speed.
Add in the egg and vanilla extract, beat until they combined.
Add flour, beating in as much as you can. Stir in any remaining flour and chocolate chips.
Cut a piece of parchment paper into the shape of the air fryer basket.
Scoop the cookie dough using a measuring spoon on to the parchment paper. Place the dough about an inch apart.
Slowly, transfer the parchment with the dough into the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if required.
Cook at 300°F for 8 minutes or until golden brown and set.
Remove the parchment to a wire rack to cool.
Repeat with the remaining cookie dough.
Serve with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee.
